After looking at this half disassembled CJ7 in my garage for the last six months, I finally got off mz lazy a$$ and decided to go for it. Currently doing the replacement panel thing. Good thing I didn't figure my wages in this portion of the project. I should have gone glass. But, I am still several hundred $$ ahead by going the replacement panel route. NO patches! REPLACEMENT PANELS ONLY!

With any luck, I'll have the remaining panels completed by this coming weekend. Crossing fingers that all body mount holes align. After this, about a weeks worth of 2hrs/day body work and paint prep. And then, the PAINT! Mustard Yellow, maybe a shade or two lighter. Still need to go look at the color chips. [img]images/graemlins/40BEER.gif[/img]

Welcome to the board. You will find more help here than you can shake a stick at. I read the subject line and asked myself "aren't all CJ's projects?" I checked out your website, it looks pretty good. I see your into R/C airplanes. I did that for a while until I could no longer afford the fees to be in the AMA. I think my number was 565620, but its been a while. I've still got two planes sitting in my basement that I haven't touched in years. One is a top wing trainer (Aerostar 40), and the other is a bottom wing Tiger 2. They were a blast. I still have everything I need for them, but I doubt I'll ever pull em out of "the hanger". Welcome again to the board.

I have actually been lurking here for about a year or longer. I was CJ7Ted. I had problems with that user ID after being absent for a while and could not log-in even with a password change. Go figure! I emailed Leve and still couldn't get it to log in. Just easier to change it.

I almost re-worked my tub until I found that most of my mounts were rusted, I went with all fiber body and replaced every thing so if you need some parts let me know, I could probly build another cj if I located a frame..
