Got the Money Now!!!!!!!!!

Ok, finaly got the money for the lift I want. I was checkin out a 2.5 and a 4 inch Rubicon Express lift. My off road plans are nothing real extreme but if somthin big comes along I want to take it with ease. I will run the 31's i have right now for a bit with the lift, but go bigger in tire size after time. Will 33's clear with the 2.5 lift and the 1.5 shackles I have? Or should I just pay the 50 bucks more and get the 4 inch? With the 4 inch what other mods do I have to make. Driveline angles etc... Thanks

Re: Got the Money Now!!!!!!!!!

Im real happy with my 2 1/2. no driveline mods needed (see pics of the install). if you go 4 inches you will need to do a SYE and new drive shaft...

I feel like I spent forever researching my lift and finaly went with the R/E. It was the most complete set up...make sure you get it from someone who is offering shocks! when you purchase from R/E direct they dont offer shocks. I got mine from 4 wheelers supply and it came with Rancho shocks...same price as R/E site...

Ran some 33's on mine around the yard...pushed it up on some logs for articulation...some rub at full stuff...I'd be more worried about pushing 33's with your 4 popper...31's should get you where you are going.

Re: Got the Money Now!!!!!!!!!

Hey Thanks,

I was checkin out your website and I was looking at the pics of when u were on the trail, did u have your lift then. It doesn't really look like it. I got 1.5 shackles on it right now, so will i get around 3.5 total. WHat do u think about runnin 32's? Or should I just stick with my MT 31's. Whatever it is I will love it. Can't wait, see ya later.

Re: Got the Money Now!!!!!!!!!

I was running 275's (~29's) and my stock springs that had sagged about 1 inch lower than new. The picks on the lift instal webpage are with the 275's. Note that the springs are only 2 inches of the lift. They use 1 inch longer shackles to give the other 1/2 of lift...if you use the R/E springs and your shackles you should have about 3 inches of lift. I think I will be going with 31's the next time around...I think the 33's take up too much space and limit articulation and dont add that much more tire contact patch...32's may be a good compromise...
A freind of mine is running a 97 4 bange/5 speedr with 32s and is unable to hold 5th on ANY kind of hill on the hiway...
