302 into CJ5 w/T150

Is it possible to put a 302 in front of a T150 w/Dana 20 T-case. It might be a T-15 (I'm new to this stuff). If it is possible what do I need to make it work? I've got the motor and the Jeep w/ tranny so I'm hoping I can put them together. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Yes it's possible.
But your info and my knowledge are both limited.

As far as I know its a 75 CJ5 (flex frame, I don't know what this means). It will have an early 80's body, with a three inch body lift.

What is the easiest way to tell the difference? I haven't looked at it too close since my brother traded it to me.

T-150 shifter is straight, T-15 shifter has two hard bends low on it.

Check This Site for more info.

Re: 302 into CJ5 w/T150

Ok. I looked at the tranny pretty close today, and the web site you gave me. It apears I have a T-14. The shifter only has one bend near the bottom, and a 1302 casting number. It also looks indentical to the pictures of the T-14. (http://www.jeeptech.com/trans/t14.html) So how does this complicate putting the 302 in? I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me. Thank you for the help you've already given me.

OK! I'm putting this post to rest. All my questions were answered in another post, (Strength of T150) I'll be installing a T-150 as soon as I get ahold of one. If anyone is interested in my T-14 drop me a PM. Thanks again for all your help.
