Well I am now in the process of striping the old jeep body. I have a couple layers to go through but working out not too bad. I hope to have it all done by sunday. And hopefully back together on monday night. I will post some pics of it when it is done. I am changing the color kinda sick of black. Anyone suggest a different color to go with grey interior. thanks james

im a bit partial to Olive Drab green myself... my 74 looks great with its stars on it. keep getting asked if its army, but i guess i knew it would happen....

if ya wanna go with non factory... teal..like the early 90's cherokees. Factory color... red, though I'm partial to black myself.

How are you stripping? What's working best for you?

a grey interior should go with just about any color I suppose. I like XO Rust Blue paint that I used to paint my wag.

The BRIGHT YELLOWS I was seeing in the "show us your yellow jeeps" thread were starting to grow on me.

I know I speak against many voices here, but I don't really like yellow Jeeps. Especially Corvette yellow. Maybe that's because when I was a kid, my mom would stuff me in the back of her bright yellow Stingray (my sister got the front seat [img]images/graemlins/lame.jpg[/img]) and take me to that kid crushing institution known as school. Do you know how tiny it is behind Corvette seats? I think someone would be arrested for doing that now. Anyway, If I were to change the color on mine, I'd have to go with metallic green. Sounds crazy, but I dig that bug-eye green found on several 70's era cars. I believe I've seen a couple of old Jeeps here with it, but not sure if it was a factory color. I think DC has a stone green color in the lineup now that's cool, but not quite the same. Might look good with some black hood decals and black/grey interior.

Had a Trooper one time that was deep burgundy...EGGPLANT...that would look sharp with grey.
