Air intake for transmission, T/C etc.

Since I'm going synthetic oil all around, I'd need to adjust those air intakes so my diffs, T/C etc. don't suck up water. I've done the search, I've read a lot about it, but I simply can't locate those intakes on my Jeep . Does anyone have a pic where I can exactly see where are they located and how exactly do they look like. I'm feeling stupid going under the Jeep at 10 degrees (F), freezin my a$$ (and everything else, for that matter), and not being able to find a simple air intake! Please?

Re: Air intake for transmission, T/C etc.

Air intake? Do you mean vents?
If it is vents that you are talking about, at least on my D30 it is located on top of axle housing (big pumpkin with gears in it). You would usually have a rubber hose attached to it, with the hose running into the engine bay. Mine is fastened by the top of radiator (i.e. hihg up). It has a white looking plastic cap inserted in the hose (that would be your 'filter'). Same deal for the rear axle, etc. - look for the hose on top of it.
