O/T 1978 f100 2wd 351w flexplate questions

I posted this on the ford BBS 3 days ago, but no answer yet, doesn't seem to be much traffic over there...thought someone here might have an idea. I am swapping in a 1986 351w HO from a Bronco into my 1978f100 with a c4 auto tranny. I think the 351 was in front of a c6 tranny. what flex plate should I use? one for the Bronco with the c6, or get a different one that was made for a 351w/c4 combo, like from an 80's car? I hope i made my question clear. thanks, Ben

Re: O/T 1978 f100 2wd 351w flexplate questions

3jeepguy....the original motor was a 302.....it will bolt up, but didn't ford change the balance from 28 to 50 ounces sometime in the 80's? I just would hate to get everything bolted up and have to take it all back apart because of vibrations due to the flexplate not being balanced properly...thanks for the help, Ben
