Axle widths, what are they?

Yeh i know we have been here a million times. But i can never find crap in the search. So here we go again. Maybe we can get a good list together this time and then we can all keep it in are favorites.

Well as some of you know i am getting ready to put together another SWB. Well, right now i am looking at what rears to use. Widths are going to play a major roll in what rears i use. I would rather not have to cut anything.

So just start blurting them out and lets see what we can come up with. Maybe when its all done i will put the list together and get someone to post the list on there website.

Oh yeh wms to wms.

Re: Axle widths, what are they?

I have a question about wide and narrow tracks. The older Chevys where made with the front axle about a half a tire width wider that the back, would a narrow track in the back and wide track in the front work good on a CJ? Thanks,
