T150 & DANA 300 AND CJ5 PICS!!!!!

Yet another post for the day....this is great.
Ok....i have a 77 cj5, 35" claws, as of right now, dana 30 and amc 20 (narrow tracks), w/ 3.54 gears. As sooon as i can get my axles (widetracks), i am going to swap in 4.88 or 4.56s in them. Do you think this will be a low enough crawl ratio w/ a dana 20? I am ultimately thinking of swapping in a dana 300 as well behind the 150 and installing the Tera Low 4:1 kit in it. Do any of you other CJ-5 owners have this combo(that is...the t150 mated to a dana300?)?

Also, I'd like to see some pics of all you CJ5s out there!!!

Well, what kind o' wheelin' do ya do?

T150/D20/4.56 = 27.3
T150/D300/4.56 = 35.7
T150/D300 w/4:1/4.56 = 54.5

Not even sure if you can mate a D300 to a T150.

Why not instead of going to the trouble of figureing out how to mate a T-150 to D300 to do teh Tera low kit, just get the Tera low kit for your D20 and get the same 4:1 low gearing....

If there is an adapter to mate a T-150 to a D300, it would be EXPENSIVE. Like "mbalbritton" said get a 4:1 for the M20 or run a T-176/Dana 300 They came together from the factory.

Re: T150 & DANA 300 AND CJ5 PICS!!!!!

THEY DON'T MAKE A 4:1 LOW RANGE GEAR SET FOR THE DANA 20 DO THEY?? I THOUGHT IT WAS A 3.15:1 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT?? IF SO.....SHOW ME THE WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

aLSO??? I THOUGHT THE T176 WAS NOT A VERY GOOD TRANNY??? AM I WRONG?? MY 304 IS PUTTING OUT SOME POWER... IT'S BORED .6 OVER (ACTUALLY LIKE A 340) W/ MSD IGNITION, DISTRIBUTOR, TRUCK AVENGER CARB, HEADERS, ....ETC..... CAN THE T176 STAND UP TO IT?????

Yea, I think your right. 3.15:1 is the lowest gear kit I could find for the model 20 T/C. I have a CJ-5, AMC 360 bored .030 over, T-176/ Dana 300 4.10's and 33's. MSD off road performer cam and intake. The T-176 was rebuilt before I swapped it , but has been there 3 years, it has worked flawlessly.
