The Least Expensive lift

I want to lift my TJ a couple of inches. Don't have a lot of money. Can I just use coil spacers? Is a body lift better? I'm just going to run the 30" tires that I have now.

Re: The Least Expensive lift

Coil spacers are like $45 a pair for a TJ 1.75 inches.

I would go with a system. Maybe $600 bucks depending on the system brand. You get 2 inches some new springs and shocks. A lot of the stock suspension stays. Put 31 inch tires on. You would be off to a great start.

Behold the beauty of search -

TJ's w/BB spacer lifts

TJ spacer lift question

Help with 97TJ 2" lift

Little lift...?

which lift works?

31 10.50 15 on stock TJ

all these were found with a search on "spacer lift" more are available if search for other words...

Body lift is not better - IMHO

As mentioned you can get 1"-1.75" spacers individual... if just going for "looks" on a street Jeep - these are cheapest and should be fine.
If you actually plan to go off road (please do), than a "spacer kit" ($300 range) is best as this will include spacers and longer shocks and bump stop extensions (important items).

Re: The Least Expensive lift

For 550 I am really happy with my rusty's 3" lift, although I would probably upgrade to the better shocks, and put in a 45.00 engine lift as apposed to the 1 inch trany case drop.
