I am not a real Jeeper

The temp here, for the last two weeks, has been barely 15* (on the coldest) to -5* (lowest). Mostly it's about 5-10*.
I wanted to remove my hardtop & go on with a soft. But I can't Damn, I guess I'm just not strong enough to fight those temps and that nice warming effect the softtop has. Plus I barely get to move the temp of the engine up a bit (NOT to warm it up, but just to make the pointer move from the dead point).
No snow. 1/2 an inch here and there, from two-three weeks ago, that turned into rock-hard ice. Windy. Cold as hell. and I just can't go around with my softtop. Sorry.

I guess I'm not a Jeeper. Not even half of one.

Fahrenheit... Unfortunately! If they were C, it'd be a bit easier...

Does it count if I have the hard top on but my heat doesn't work? (I guess I could roll down the windows...)

Driving in snow can be fun...went out in the ice yesterday...OH MY GOD!!! 1) NOBODY around here can drive... 2) YOU CAN'T STEER... 3)YOU CAN'T GO STRAIGHT...

Re: I am not a real Jeeper

How about no heat, a soft top and alot of cracks/holes. First year in winter-daily driver and this hasa been the coldest/wettest winter in a few years. Somedays it really sucks!! My daughter is still pissed about this!!

Re: I am not a real Jeeper

Well I'm a REAL Jeeper ,,,,,

I'm braving the 50 to 65* f with the top off and just running the bikini and half doors

I can't imagin not runing around with anything else . unless it would be the hard top and the heater going when temps drop below 45*f

How the do you guys do that???????????

After being here for 30 something years i would die in temps below 30

to you guys

Re: I am not a real Jeeper

Yup, exactly that!
I mean, I like winter, but not when it's this way... I like it when it's snowy, a lot of snow, and not so darn cold!

Re: I am not a real Jeeper

Soft Top all the Way! I put my hardtop on for one day and didn't like it....wind cold...bring it on!

Growing up in the mountains, I used to play basketball in highschool, we'd come back late at night from a game and we'd have a couple feet of snow with it really dumping. Hop in the old Jeep with the Junkety old soft/buttons, wipe the snow of the seats and dash and go!

What I don't understand is how that damn BBD carb started all the time in the cold????? amazing...
