Where to buy gas tank straps??

I've been looking in my Q-tec and 4wd catalogs and I can't seem to find any replacement gas tank straps for my 91 Wrangler. I dropped the tank because the fuel pump went out on me and snapped the one strap that was still attached. Does anyone know where I can find the straps other than a dealer??

Thanks,
Jay

I looked on the web. I didn't see an online listing for a 91 wrangler, but maybe if you call them.

Good luck!

well, at the junkyard you can probably get them for almost nothing....not alot of market for new ones (not until the YJ is a bit older anyway). You can get some bare steel and fab them up pretty easily if you've got access to basic metal fab tools.

Re: Where to buy gas tank straps??

I ordered mine from 4 wheel drive. It was for an 85 CJ. I believe the straps are the same. 1 1/2" metal strap with a bolt welded on one end, and a horitzontal pin on the other end, correct? I ordered one that was too long, I cut the strap, took it to Midas, and had them reweld it. If this is even remotely similar try to fab on up yourself. It's really straight forward!
