New leaf spring problem(shackle)

I got my other 3 leaf springs in the mail yesterday from JCW finally. Anyway, I've installed three of the four on my YJ, but have a question/problem. The rears appeared to go on fine other than making my Jeep sit pretty high(and making me worry about the driveline). The problem I ran into was when I did the front. First, I think I'm going to put some weld in shims up front as I don't believe I have enough caster. What's an EASY way to check this? If my caster is fine, I'm going to need to redo my steering as my draglink is hitting the leaf. Anyway, on to the major issue The shackle doesn't appear to be right. I installed some CJ poly bushings into the shackle end of the new leaf springs(leafs are from a CJ rear), but it appears the front is too narrow. Do I need to use YJ shackle bushings? If this isn't making sense, say so and I'll snap a picture. Thanks!

Re: New leaf spring problem(shackle)

Use an "angle finder" to check the caster, less then 10 bucks at the hardware store. The top ball joint needs to be leaning 6 to 8 degrees farther to the rear of the rig then the bottom ball joint (6 to 8 degrees positive caster).

I think after tweaking with it for a bit, it looks alright. Thanks for the help though. If the problem appears again, I'll snap a pic and better explain it.
