Major Modifications!(understatement)

The question has been asked,.. what I was doing to lose 700 lbs, from my Jeep(or whats left of it).
Here is a pic of what the new ncomp rig will look like.
I am, spending a lot of effort to retain the Jeep look, and still incorporate full competition design features that are important. I really like how its comming along.
It should be complete(well driveable) in a few more days.
What do you all think?

That is cool, but now you are going to have to get another jeep to drive on the street!

Re: Major Modifications!(understatement)

Thats almost excactly what Kathy told me when she first saw the entire back half of the jeep laying in the driveway,....Kathy "Thats neet, I hope you are ready to buy me another jeep, before summer"
Fortunately it wont cost me a fortune,..we test drove an 03 TJ on Wednesday and she hated it,...said it felt to much like driving a Buick,... she wants another YJ. Actualy she just wants something that can run a trail like the Rubicon, without spending the girls college fund to get there.
Ya gotta love a chick, that understands what driving a Jeep is all about.

Very cool!! Glad to hear it will still look like a Jeep when it is done. I agree that ya gotta love a woman who knows what Jeep'n is about..., especially when she like YJ's.

That is a sweet looking rig with some great looking work put into it! When are you going to come over to the dark side and stroke and SC that thing?

Re: Major Modifications!(understatement)

Did you retain any of the frame at all? Maybe just under the skidplate? Hard to tell. What is the suspension plan?

Looks like nice work. Are you using a jig at all, or using the measure three times, bend it and eyeball it method

It's been nice watching the evolution of your ride over the years. Looks like it is a little easier working in that shop than it is in the parking lot

Re: Major Modifications!(understatement)

Looks great! I'm happy to hear you're going the extra mile to keep it looking like a Jeep and not one of those "moon buggies" that are all the rage.
