Looking for \'83 fuel check valves...

Hi all.
I took the CJ out a couple of weeks ago after installing a new MSD and tweaking the carb. I had it running fairly good so I stopped at the gas station and filled it up, thinking I'd run a tank through. Problem arose when I got back home and noticed my tank leaking right next to the exhaust! Apparently, my fuel vapor lines were rotted through. Anway, long story short, I need a liquid check valve and maybe the rollover check valve, also:

I messed up one of the nipples on the liquid valve trying to get the fuel/vapor line off of it. My rollover valve is just real rusty and wouldn't mind replacing it. Does anyone have one of these lying around in decent shape they would like to sell? I know it's an odd request but so far I've had no luck at the parts stores. Anyone? Thanks! Re: Looking for \'83 fuel check valves...

These parts are really hard to come by. I don't know about the liquid check valve, but the roll-over check is not made any more. You can still get one, NOS, from Collins Bros. in Texas. That is where I just got mine. They aren't cheep either! I need to get a liquid check too, so if you find a NOS piece, let me know please.

Re: Looking for \'83 fuel check valves...

Yep, I'm finding that out. Thanks for the info. I may have found some NOS liquid check valves on the web but the site looks sketchy and there's no way to order online. I'm going to call the guy this week. I'll let you know if it is legitimate. Thanks.

Can anyone else help out here?

Any luck on that liquid check valve? What was the web site that you found one on?

Yep, that's the one! Looks like the roll over check valve would work as well. Thanks for the lead!

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you Tippy. That's the site I was talking about. (Leve's post) I have yet to call the guy myself. Got sidetracked onto some house maintenance. Unfortunately the Jeep takes a backseat to that. Looks like the other check valve is there too. Good luck!
