Re: cage/??????????????

I was planning to go the el' cheapo route on the pads and started amassing large qtys. of foam beer coozys. I later visited the cage builder and he had some pads from Summit. They are MUCH better than my coozy idea or foam pipe insulation. The center hole in them is offset so they are thinner on the split side than the other. I did a test by punching the cage with both materials and I promise the real rollcage padding was atleast 300% better .

Re: cage/??????????????

that foam pipe isulation isn't all that bad if you get the good stuff. The blue writing kinda looks bad though. When we did my buddies cage this summer we thought ahead and put it on before we welded it up so there is no seams. We just slid it away from where we were welding so it didn't go up in smoke.

glad to see I'm not the only one who does the fist test on the padding that padding sure makes a differance

someone once told me the best stud finder in the world is getting mad and punching a wall because you will always find one right away Maybe studs should be padded too
