Trade/FS 5 Big industrial lights..Garage? O/T

I got these things from work earlier this year before they remodeled, I planned on using them in my garage but I don't know how to wire things up..and my mom wasn't too thrilled on any additions to our new garage.
So if anyone needs these I would trade something or sell them for pretty cheap.I've heard they can be pricy new. They all worked before they came out and they still should, I just can't guartenee they can becuase..as I said I don't know anything about home wiring.

I know a lot of you guys have jeeplabs as your garages and I figured someone could be interested.
Let me know soon...if anyone is interested

1. Figure out how to wire them up.
2. Buy a couple of cheap Hand-trucks.
3. Mount them on the Hand-Trucks.

It's nice to be able to have ight inensity roll-around lights!

Joey those things are so easy to wire up if they are 110v or even if you have 220in the garage. Just figure out the voltage and go. There should be a white wire and black wire and a green one green is ground. some of the newer balasts have to have the right polarity to work. If they dont work the way yu have the blk/wht reverse them. WAlla Lights in the garage.

1. They look like this:

2. Now mount the light to one of these cheap bad boys and you've got LIGHT!
3. I used to see them mounted in groups of three at Boeing Field and the mechanics love'd 'em.

hmm...I might just hook a few up.
I've never heard them referred to as that. I've only heard them called dollies

Joey
Get your lights attached to the "Dollie", then pick up about 12 to 15' of "SO" cord from Home depot or Lowes, The guy in electrical will show what that is. Also pick up a deadfront male end, he will also show you that. Attach the SO cord to the deadfront by placing the white wire to the silver colored blade on the deadfront and the black wire on the gold colored blade. attach the green wire to the round blade with green screw. close the dead front and then on the other end attach the black wire to the black and the white to the white, and green to green, using wire nuts, the guy can show you those to. plug it into the wall and you will have a great light to work with. If your house was wired correctly the polarity will be right wiring this way.

Those are parabolic troffers. Those light fixtures with the T-8 lamps and electronic ballasts should sell for between $100 & $200 new. The 1'x4' at the lower end, the 2'x4' of course, at the higher end. They are excellent fixtures for an office type environment, very compatible with computer screens. Also, they are about the most energy efficient you can have in a low bay application. They are designed for use in a dropped ceiling, however in your application, just hang them from the ceiling. Your mom will thank you for the excellent light and the lower power bills and you will have great light to work with.
