Anybody have a bellhousing?

Just got beat out of a used bellhousing on ebay with 7 seconds left. Did not have enough time to submit another bid. Its for a 1989 wrangler with a 258/AX15. Cant seem to find one around here.

Where are you at in IL? I may be able to point you in the right direction.

Re: Anybody have a bellhousing?

There's one in a junkyard in Caseyville, across the river from St. Louis.

Re: Anybody have a bellhousing?

The name is George Moore Auto Salvage, in Caseyville Illinois. You'll have to find the number on your own, or wait until I get back home Monday.

I don't know what transmission it had on it. The engine had a two-barrel intake and a plastic valve cover, and the sump in the oil pan was all the way to the rear. I suspect that it was not in a Jeep, because the oil pan did not have a skidplate on it. If you want me to look for identifiers, I can do that for you next week. I can also take it off and ship it for you. Old George isn't always real accomodating, and might want to charge a bunch more for that.

Did the 6 cylinders come with a skid plate? I had a 304 and now a 360 and they don't have a skidplate stock.

Re: Anybody have a bellhousing?

I've seen 6's with skids on the pan. I dunno if they were stock though.

Re: Anybody have a bellhousing?

The bellhousing is for a 1989 wrangler. In 1989 some came with the peugot trans. and some with the Aisin. We need the one that fits the Aisin. I will have to do some more research and try to find out what the differences are. Thanks for the offer, but I am not sure what to tell you to look for yet.
