HELP bad transfer case

I lost this board and finally found it again this is great. I love it. Anyway I need some advise. I plow snow with my 77 cj 7 and my doug nash conversion part time 4x4 went out. I still have the original set up my uncle took out in 78. It all looks real good and there is no signifigant wear. my question is is if this full time factory set up will do me good plowing snow. or if I should just get a shaft or lock ring for the DN set up ( or will this factory one work.) The transmision is a 400 th and the transfer case is a borg warner quadratrac. Thanks for any reply.

Im so happy I found this site again

Re: HELP bad transfer case

I plowed a lot of snow with my old quadratrac. The emergency drive locks it up front and rear if you need it. Check the chain and the fluid while you got it out. The clutches may stick a little until you drive it around some.

I have a new chain and the sprocket for it with the lock ring and shaft so that wont be a problem i just wandered if the full time was worth putting back in.

If you want to know what I think of the quadratrac, I love it. (As long as it is working properly.) Right now I am without the full-time position due to shifter problems (vacuum motor) and I really missed it with the snow last week. It is not nearly as stable with it locked up.
