Re: my homemade bumper

Looks good! Could we see some pics of the other side? A close up of your mounting brackets would be nice. I'm in the process of makin a bumper also. I'll have to post pics of my front bumper and rock rails for you all.

It ain\'t the eggnog talkin\'

1. I don't:
a. Drink coffee, tea, or anything alcoholic.
b. Chase silly women (wife put a stop to that!).
c. Smoke...
d. Chew...
e. Spit.
f. Cuss..(Ok, now and then...).
2. I can't spell worth a tinker's darn.
3. I hate proofreading.
4. I'm as happy as I'm going to be all all day when I wake up... no morning coffee!
5. I lead a very dull, and boring life.
6. I'm gonna outlive you all!
7. When I make a spelling error I chalk it up to "creative spelling" like they had back in the first half of the 19th century.
8. I must take full responsibility for all spelling errors I make... there is no other excuse, 'cept perhaps I'm dumber than a box of rocks...

Re: my homemade bumper

That looks like a good job. I am also building a bumper. I like the way you attached your receiver hitch. Did you butt weld it on or does it go through the wall of the bumper? What size of material did you use for the bumper? I am using 4"x2", 3/16" wall square tubing. I noticed that in the catalogs they list most bumpers as having 1/8" walls. I have checked on getting mine powdered coated and I think I can have the job done for 50 to 60 bucks.
