progress on the cj5 (pics)

It took me a couple months but I finally got my cj5 running and rolling last night. I got the waggy axles swapped and the soa done. Hooked up the power brakes (also from the waggy) but havent blead them yet. I plan on getting the hoses I need for the power stearing tomorrow. I pretty much have it almost ready to wheel. Still need to get my tubes bent for the cage and order my tires, but nothing else too big. The paint turned out pretty good, but I did get a few runs. Oh well, its going to get pretty scratched up anyhow. It looks a lot better than the bright orange and the stainless dash contrasts blue better than orange as well. The LED tailights I put in look awesome. Im so excited that Im almost ready to wheel again. Ive been working on it daily for the past couple months, which explains why I havent posted for quite a while.

Looking good, what size meats you planning running? Did you streach the wheel base?

Re: progress on the cj5 (pics)

Im planning on 36s most likely. The wheelbase was stretched a few inches but that was only because of the convenience of spring mounting. I wasnt really goning for much extra, although I think I maybe should have stretched it a little more. I think its right at 7 ft.

That 5 looks great, and with a set of 36's I bet it will look even better, very nice job with the build. Your fab work looks really good.
