CJ5-T18/D20 CV driveshaft question

I know someone out there has been down this road...I just installed this T18 in my CJ5 and was hoping that by having a CV rear I would not need to drop the T case...does not look like this is the case. I have a 6 degree shim in the rear, to point the rear yoke toward the t case and when I take all the weight off the rear it appears I need to drop the t case in order to not bind the u joints...what have others done with this setup to avoid binding when the weight is off the vehicle?
