Re: pro-comp coil conv.

One of my buddies has just about the same setup as yours. I've driven it a few times.., so here goes.
1. It is very noisy!!
2. With the sway bar disconnected, there is a ton of body
roll when sidehilling or off camber.
3. When climbing, the rear end squats way too much, and it
feels like you are going over. Makes for some great
pic's though!!
4. Did I mention it was noisy!!
5. I thought it should flex alot more. It almost looks like
the shocks that came with the lift are not long enough.
6. But it does look way cool and rides pretty good.

Just my opinions.

Re: pro-comp coil conv.

I run it and wish that I had not of done it. I moved and thru away all of the stuff to go back.
When I finaly get around to changing to D44 I hope to use the link suspension and make my own coil over shock setup.
I have a modified hi stear set up and the drag link runs into the coils and the tie rod bumps the ProComp brackets, thus not a complete turn. The tie rod only moves 6" and the ARG ram realy wants it to move 8". It was a waste of money. I was new to a Jeep and all I knew was what I read in the mags. I had a lot of problems with bump stear, thats why the high stear and ther Rock Ram. That helped a lot.
