looking for YJ soft top parts

Hi, I am looking for soft top brackets for a YJ factory top. I bought a Jeep but the guy didn't have any of the hardware for the top. It is also missing the rear window. I figured maybe someone on this board would have a worn out top with good hardware.

Did you try looking up some local 4X4 clubs and check their 4 sale boards? You might get lucky and find what you're looking for in your neighborhood.

an idea may be to check local scrapyards. in truth, the scrapyard here has a really busted up wrangler in it. no clue what the top's condition is though. worth a shot.

Re: looking for YJ soft top parts

I have a bunch of YJ soft top parts. What is it that you need. Last spring my soft top blew off in a wind storm.
I was driving down the road enjoying myself and a cup of coffee, gust of wind hit me like a ton of bricks, and wam-O there I am with no top. I turned around and picked up most of the pieces I could find. Most were reuseable. I called my insurance company for grins and as it turned out, my top was covered. A guy came and looked at it, and gave me a quote. All I needed were a few pieces but the insurance gave me enough for a whole new best top.
So I have most of what is left of my old one. Finding all the parts will be a trip. But I will be at home (where the parts are) Over Xmas week.
Let me know what you need, and I will see if I can help you out.
