Where\'s the Oil Pressure Port?

89 YJ, 258 2bbl...

where is the oil pressure port? i'm trying to wire a mechanical oil pressure gauge to replace the shot electric one in my dash.... I figure theres already a pressure port somewhere I can run the pressure line into... I figured it would be right around the oil filter but I'm not seeing anything...

Re: Where\'s the Oil Pressure Port?

Why not put it the same place the sensor for the electric one was? Or is that what you're having trouble finding?

It should be on the passenger side near the back of the block. There will probably be a "T" there with two sensors. One is for the guage, the other is a pressure switch that operates the electric intake heater.

Re: Where\'s the Oil Pressure Port?

1. "T" off the OEM oil pressure sender hole in the block.
2. Located on the passener side, rear side of the block.
3. Or, install in the OEM sender hole.

Re: Where\'s the Oil Pressure Port?

tee it off you will need to keep your oil pressure switch as it runs your electric choke as well as your intake heater
