(Got this off POR chit-chat) The guy that wrote this article cannot be serious, but unfortunately he is. This is some serious wheeling folks, so be prepared.

I wouldn't quite call that serious off-roading, but it is surprising that it did that well. If I were that Toyota driver that got pulled out, I'd never tell that story. But I guess kudo's are in favor for that little CRV.

You know what the coolest part of that story was? That guy went WHEELIN' ! OK, not nast, body damaging, rock crawlin', up to the air cleaner in mud wheelin', but he had a good time without hurting anyone or offending anyone. He will go wheeling again and again...finaly realise the CRV won't do what he really wants to do, and He'll buy a Jeep.

Re: Wheeling a CR-V, this is pretty fricking funny

I have a question about the Toyota being pulled out. Either its a two wheel drive Toyota or it doesn't look like he ever put it in 4wd, as the front is not dug in at all. Hmm.

What's 4 wheelin to some isn't even close to others.
I wish I had a place to play like that close to home.
For that Toyota to be buried like that he never had it in 4 wheel drive or his front axle wasn't working.

Hey look they go in mud too!!

Mudding in Texas!

Re: Wheeling a CR-V, this is pretty fricking funny

The place is actually pretty cool. The new Peterson Four Wheel and Off-road mag did an story on the mud pits there, called Azusa mudding or something like that. The place can be a little more fun than the article makes it out to be. The water crossing can get a little deep at times and at some points. All in all if you aint in the mud pit it is just another fire road. But then again I love the fire roads.

Looking at the Toyota, it looks to be a pre-runner 5 lug not 6.
This guy was funny. I need to check out POR to see how badly they blasted him

Uh, I'm trying to think what that CR-V did that couldn't have been done in a Buick LeSabre. Except maybe pull the Yoter out.
