1979 Jeep cherokee??????????

What axles came on the 79 cherokee and would it be a good swap to put them on a 1977 cj5?? What would need to be done [img]images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Those babies were D44's front and rear, open knuckle 30 spline inners (I think) and the front drop is on the passangers side.
And agian I am not 100% sure, but I think that the front would have disks, and flat tops. Good axels... Probably 3.07 R&P

79 was the last year of the quadratrac so make sure it has a dana 20 if you want to use the rear axle. The quadratrac is offset a few more inches.
