AWESOME 3M Product, Have to share with you...

Hey people

This weekend I upgraded my coil from a canister to a Ford TFI coil. I'd been having problems with sputtering and general loss of power. due in large part to a crack in the back of my passenger side head right behind Cyl #8. After installing the TFI coil It was better, then I remembered to gap my plugs out a little, and I gapped #8 out even further. Even better, Then my buddy that's a mechanic went into his store room and pulled out this stuff that blew my mind. It's a fuel system cleaner made by 3M-products. I think he said the name was 3M Fuel System cleaner, Tech Bucks Primus or something to that effect. It's a 3 step cleaning agent. First a spray can of Throttle plate cleaner that you spray down the carb venturis with the engine off, then a Tank additive, and lastly this drip can that flows thru a small hose. You drip it in the carb with the engine running. you can smell it in the exhaust.

after doing this cleaner, all I can say is OH MY GOD! My engine has sound and Run this nice in a looooooong time. It's actually made with Fuel injection system in mind but works on Carbed engines. he said it works even better on FI systems. I'll be getting some for my ZJ ASAP!

You can pick it up at NAPA, it's a shrink wrapped package of 2 cans and a bottle. FI systems need a special adpter to plug intothe system he said, but for carbed follow the above directions. I'm still amazed at how well the CJ runs now. He said he gets the product from NAPA at his price of $20, so I don't know how much it runs to the general public. But it's worth every penny!

Later

1. 3M's take on producing a product: Make it by the mile, sell it by the inch!.
2. Same thing with automotive chemicals... make it by the billion gallons and sell it by the ounce!
3. Yep, it's good stuff.
4. As a 3M retiree... Keep on buying 3M products...
5. Wrap all your presents in Scotch Tape.
6. To Quote Disraelie: "Buy, Buy, Buy.." 3M products.
7. I need a raise!
