tire carrier

I am looking for a tire carrier that will support my 35x15.50 swamper SX on 15x12 aluminum wheel.I was wondering if anyone had the Warn tire carrier/bumper combo. It says it will accept up to 36".Seems like a lot of money but I don't have access to a good welder/torch set.

Re: tire carrier

Check out http://www.stevesjeepfab.com/ I found it the other day and their stuff looks pretty good and they have cheap prices. I don't know anybody that has actually bought anything from them though. Andy

Re: tire carrier

While also pricey, I have the one made by 4WD Hardware. I'm very happy with it.

I have seen some of that steve's stuff on ebay, looks pretty sweet. Got my eye on the a front bumper from them.

Re: tire carrier

A friend ordered the bumper/tire carrier from steve's jeep fab back in october and hasnt gotten it yet. he called them thanksgiving and his bumper was supposedly on the "to-do" list for that week. he still has not received his bumper.

don't get me wrong, ol steve is building great products, he is just swamped with orders. be forewarned that the turnaround time will not be quick. plus he just raised his prices.

find a friend with a welder and build your own. it's fun and cheap.

Re: tire carrier

I sent a money order to him around 3 or 4 weeks ago.Me and my buddy ordered a front bumper and rear tire carrier each. His wife e-mailed me and said they got the money and it would be 4 to 6 weeks.I am hoping it will not take that long, for me it's no big deal because my jeep is not driveable yet but my buddy could use his..I will keep everyone posted on how long it takes me to get it.
