1994 wrangler tires

a buddy of mine is looking at buying a 1994 wrangler. right now it has 33x10.50 tires on AR black rock crawlers. it has a 3"body lift and maybe about 1 or 2 supention lift. can he put 33x12.50 tires on without rubbing

It will depend on the backspacing on the rims. A 3 to 3.75 inch back spacing is what he'll probaly need. If contact is minimal with the 12.5's he could allways adj.the stearing stops. As far as rubbing when it's articulated that depends on how much flex he's got. Hope this helps.
