Hammerite

Anybody knows this product? It's surposed to be a black colored, very resistant metal paint that can be applied directly to (small amounts) of rust. I thought about using it on my newly-welded bumpstops, and to almost everything else under there. There ain' no actual rust, frame is in (almost) perfect shape, but it has an occasional tini-itty-bitty sand-grin-size of rust, where some little stones hit the frame, skidplate, etc. Is it worth it?

Re: Hammerite

Hammerite is great great stuff. It will cover almost anything, it goes on real think, and holds up well. I use it on my frame, and anything else that is exposed to hard conditions.
I feel like it is worth its weight. If you use it be careful of getting on your skin, it doesn't like to come off very easy.

Brush it, spray it, drip it, thow it.. Hammerite is my covering of choice. I put it on my CJ's:

Dash
Inside of Fiberglass tub

Drums
Frame
Calipers
Roll Bar
Front and Rear Bumpers
Oil pan.
Hard Doors,
