Re: TOYO tires

My only experience with them is on work trucks. They are very tough. I have, however, never seen any "balloon size" toyo's.

Before everyone flames me, a lot of people in the tire industry clasify any tire given by H. x W. x rim dia. as balloon sizes.

Re: TOYO tires

When I lived in Kenai, there wasn't a local dealer for Toyo tires. We occasionally saw them on commercial vehicles. They seemed to be fine--I hear they wear well. I've seen a few 4x4s here in the Anchorage/Wasilla area that have them, but the have all been a street/all-terrain type of tire, nothing real agressive. Did you find them online or at a tire warehouse? I'm sorta interested in if they have an agressive tire. My jeep is wearing good rubber, but the truck will need new feet in the spring.

Re: TOYO tires

To tell you the truth, I was saving money for other gadgets, and I thought I could save some by getting Toyos, which cost less than Fulda, Michelin or GY Wranglers. At least here. I asked 'cos I wanted to know if they were worthless, or was it just a marketing thing to attract buyers. I really couldn't tell you about online stores... Just that I saw a banner on THIS SITE (!!!!), so it reminded me to ask...

Of course, if you make one of your trips here, I'll get 'em for you... 50% off!!!

Re: TOYO tires

They have an MT tire now, or so the mainpage says. They don't sound too bad according to the article. But they're so new that they aren't even on the toyo website yet! I personally would wait to see some reviews on them.

Re: TOYO tires

I hear you...
Although, considerin the price difference (here), and considering my YJ being a daily driver, not capable of running at high speeds (which is the major tire failure component around here), I think I'll be among those beta-testers
I'll keep y'all informed on how it developes... I'll get 245/75/15 set of 4 tires, for a price of 2,5 same profile GoodYear or Fulda tires...
