First Snow

Well, here I sit. Home from work, it's snowing HARD outside and my Jeep sits with a busted u-joint in the front driveshaft. I put this off for too long. I tried several times to get it out but was having some difficulty even removing the bolts. Damn my cursed ineptitude! I just hope it doesn't last too long. The pantry is running low! A lesson to be learned for all Jeepers:

Don't Procrastinate the day of your repair!

You Snooze.. you loose!

Re: First Snow

Oh man, I feel for you, not having 4wd is a bummer. The first time it snowed here I discovered to my horor that 4wd doen't work in my Waggie. Bummer. I have since discovered that it is only (I hope) a vac line, and I will be picking up that line tomorrow. But have a busted piece when you need it is a way bummer. And trying to fix that busted piece in the cold and the snow without a warm place to work is even more of a bummer. Good luck with that Ujoint.

Re: First Snow

Thanks. I appreciate it. Went out earlier, spread some plastic down and tried to work but its just too dang cold and wet. Hopefully things will settle down by the weekend and I'll have another go at it....
Hope you have an easy fix...

Re: First Snow

Yep, my sister just informed me that Hickory is being covered as we speak in snow and she doesn't have a Jeep yet (though she REALLY wants one - 'cause her big brother has two!).

Hang in there. If I didn't have a Jeep, maybe the ice...er rain now...would be snow instead. If the Jeep works, it doesn't snow!

I feel your pain, As long as I have a running vehicle the worst of the storms miss us.
If I want to play in the snow I have to chase the storms down.
Last year I chased the big storm that missed us and ended up in northern Jersey.

Re: First Snow

I have a different problem. I'd like to go out and play in the snow/ice but because of that capability, I have no excuse not to be here at work.
