Currie Rocker Guards

I just got a set of Currie Rocker Guards in the mail yesterday. I got the standard ones without the bar step. I was wondering what the best way to install them would be? Is there some sort of hole punch I could use that would make like easier? Also, can I put Herculiner on the rocker guards to help prevent rust? Do I cover the whole guard or just certain areas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Currie Rocker Guards

You are on the right track in your thinking. A lot of times people will put things like rocker guards on their Jeeps without doing anything to the body behind them, and it ends up rusting out. For Sure put some sort of treatment behind those. As far as making the holes. Use a center punch where you want holes to be. Then use a drill. By using the center punch you will insure that the drill will not wander on you. I HATE THAT. Another trick to keep a bit from wantering is to start the bit going backwards. Then go for the forward, works pretty well.
