OBA- Kilby OverDrive pulleys

I am contiplating using the Kilby OD pulley (P/N 061-007) to power my OBA. If my calcluations are correct (6.75" crank, 1.9" alt pulley), my alternater will be spinning approx. 26% faster.

This means, at 4000 crank RPM's (worst case), my alternator will be turning 14211 rpm's (compared to 11250 now).

I know, if my regulator is functioning, the alternator won't be spitting out too much juice, however, I'm concerned with the internals.

Any thoughts/experience?

Thanks, OS

Re: OBA- Kilby OverDrive pulleys

No replies, so I am assuming that nobody has tried the over drive alternator pulleys, or there is nothing wrong with the alternator turning 26% faster.

I will talk with Kilby (onboardair.com) tomorrow and may order one.

Thanks, Neil
