T5 bellhousing question

Hey everyone, I know I don't usually post topics on here too much, but I do enjoy reading about everyone's project. I actually have a question and no motorhead around my area can give me a definite answer. Here's the dilemma: I plan on running an advanced adapters world class T5 tranny with a chevy 350. I know if I can get my hands on that GM 151 to a SR4, T4, T5 bellhousing, I would be just fine, but all the junkyards and jeep stores know that that specific bellhousing will work with a chevy 350 so they jack up the price usually to around $200 give or take. My chances of finding that specific bellhousing at a decent price is not going to happen (unless anyone may have one laying around, then I would be interested) so here is my question then. I believe that a T5 is a T5, they can be found in most of the mustangs and the camaros. Obviously a mustang bellhousing will not bolt up to a SBC, but will a camaro bellhousing work? I have been looking on ebay for bellhousings and each camaro bellhousing I look at that supposedly came from a T5 tranny, they all look different. Either one bolt hole for the tranny is way off to one side or something to that effect. Everyone I ask, nobody is able to give me a straight answer. I appreciate all answers, offers on that elusive GM 151 bellhousing would be just as nice. Just a little help and some solid answers can get me out of this rut. Thanks guys!

Re: T5 bellhousing question

the world class T-5 and the AMC version of the T-5 are not the same transmission. Externally, they appear to be identical but some of the wc T-5's internals are heavior duty. That being said Advance Adaptors no longer can supply the World Class T-5. I have a toasted T-5 in my jeep and have been unable to find a replacement at a reasonable price. Advance no recomends the NV3550 as a replacement for the T-5.

Re: T5 bellhousing question

Here is a place I came across that sells new T-5's custom built for Jeeps. I never delt with them but may be worth checking out. It is still not cheap though.
