I think I found that all of you guys had the JC Whitney 7 leaf HD springs. Could you tell me about them? I'm looking for softer ride, are they soft? Also, could you give me the thickness at the center of the pack for an indicator of how thick the leaves are? I'd really like to hear from a couple of you before I make a decision.

Here is a link to another thread on this subject for reference.

Re: Hiigh5, Popazeus and TOM85CJ7

I'm none of them, but I have been running the 7 leaf HD's for just over a year now. I killed a few sets of YJ springs and went with these, and wish I had from the begining. They have a bit more arch than a flat YJ spring, but I didn't feel them being any stiffer, and they still flex great. I have them on the CJ7 SOA, and the few times I have driven it on the streets, it was a very comfortable ride. They are militray wrapped at both ends, and survive SOA applications real good. I even ripped my t-bar off and some rocks and went a day w/o it and the springs didn't sag like some others do.
A single leaf measure 3/16" thick, I don't have the overloads on there anymore, so don't know the total overall.

pbmcauliffe,

Sorry, I would have included you too but I confused you with somebody else who bought a set, didn't put them on and were trying to sell them.

I didn't know they included an overload, I thought that was the Omix-Ada 9 leaf pack. So you have 6 leaves left in each pack or 5?
