power steering

Bought a 93 wrangler two weeks ago.Power steering is weak. After getting advice on another forum, I put on a new pump and lines. When I installed,I flushed out the steering gear box.Steering is still weak.So I checked ball joints, tie rod ends and drive shaft u-joints.All seem good.Is power steering on 93 wrangler 4 cyl. wimpy or should I look into steering gear replacement?

Re: power steering

What do you mean by weak??? Compared to what??? Does it feel hard to turn, does it lag when turning, does it chatter? Will a car feel better than the Jeep? Yes! What size tires are on it, large, steering suffers some, wide off set wheels, yes seering suffers. need a little more info here.

Re: power steering

Old Hand,
Wrangler has new stock size tires,215x15.Stock suspension,no lift.Alignment seems good,no wandering, goes straight. But it is hard to steer. When you make a turn in town, you have to pull it back to straighten out.If this is normal,I will live with it. But if not than I would like to improve it.Wife doesn't like to drive it.
Thanks
