do I need this for the CJ?

I am getting ready to order some parts, and I was wondering if I should spend the extra money and get the Hi volume oil pump and a double roller timing chain and gear set? just one? both? neither? Its for my '85 cj with a 258. are they really worth the xtra $$?

I know its not gonna be a race engine, but I don't want to rebuild this thing again anytime soon.

thanks

Re: do I need this for the CJ?

My vote would be yes to both. The high volume oil pump is a no brainer. The double roller is a little more debatable. With a double roller you get more accurate cam timing, not a big deal for a basic engine, but there is also less variation of the "load" (pull, drag, whatever you want to call it it is just more stable and consistent) on the front of the cam. This leads to longer life of the cam bearings, which is important, especially for a long straight six cam.

I agree with you on both items, I like the fact for more oil movement. with the timing chain, are there any modifications that I would have to do?
thanks
