OBA Sanden compressor - too much oil in the air?

I'm about ready to install my OBA system. I've got an oiler on the intake side of the compressor, and the water/oil filter (gravity feed into a cup type, with the auto drain on the bottom) on the output side.

Will this remove all of the oil from my system? I'd hate to ruin my good tires with oil pumped inside from this system.

Re: OBA Sanden compressor - too much oil in the air?

The filter you purchased is there to stop the oil entering your tires and system. It is a good Idea to run it but not always necessary. A good way to test to see if your system will ever see any oil is to run the compressor with no lines attached and hold your hand just next to the pressure side of the pump. If your hand has a slight misting of oil on it then I would run the filter. Goto Onboardair.com to find more info, and do a internet search also.
