Its been at my welders shop outside for the past 4 years. Ive only ever seen the nose of the vehicle. I always ask him about it or bring it up to him for years now. He finally asked me Tuesday how interested I was in it, took a look at it and there was a 1983(non-Massachusettes emission passing year vehicle)6 cylendar, 4spd CJ8. He said he could get the title from the original owner and he wanted at least $50 for it [img]images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]...I drove to the bank and was back in 10 minutes. It needs a tub, V8, lift...you know. Just had to vent to people who could understand my joy.

Stock Jeeps are so small, its like sitting in a car when I got in to check it out; but it is officially now mine. I just had AAA tow it to my house and hung up a freshly made set of back up keys from True-Value.

Nice find. I wish I could find a CJ-6 like that. I would be more interested in it having a good tube than the driveline but I wish I could find one. Congrats ont he new purchase.

That's a good score! There is a CJ-8 for sale here in Alliance, and the guy wants $4200! [img]images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] Even if yours is a total pile, there has to be something on it worth $50! [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
