lift/driveshaft question

On my '90-model YJ, how much lift can I get away with before needing custom driveshafts/rear SYE?? I want to do it right, but I don't want to spend any more than I have to, either.

I'm thinking about a 2.5" lift... what are the odds of me running into vibration problems at highway speeds if I stick with the stock shafts??

Re: lift/driveshaft question

There should be no problems with 2.5" lift, assuming you'll get degree shims & TC lowering kit.
I've put the "should" in bold, because I heard that, occasionally, it can happen to have vibration prbs even with 2.5" lift. But rarely, very rarely.
Hope it helps a bit...

Re: lift/driveshaft question

I had a SKyjacker 4" lift on my 89 and had no problems but I had the 1" T-case lowering kit installed shouldn't have to change much of anything unless you go over 4".
