Need XM help

Looking for a place to mount an XM radio antenna. Glass mount on windshield is last choice.
I was thinking about the area in the back on the wheel well, behind the roll bar, but I am afraid that the signal will be blocked too often.
Another option, (more expensive) would be to get a bracket or shelve that mounts from the windshield to the roll bar, and mount it above that.
Has anyone installed XM in their Wrangler? If so, where have you had luck with antenna placement? Or should I just break down and get the glass mounted one?

Thanx for the advice.
Brian
