Well, i need help...O/T

Hello,

I bought some stuff from a guy who has is name on this board a few weeks ago and i have a problem. The package has been sent October 4 as ground delivery which is supposed to take 4 weeks to arrive here in France. Well, i still don't have anything and can t do any research from here. In fact, USPS works with private mail companies in europe and i can t find the name of it to check with them if they have it...Can anyone of you do a research to find out which company is taking care of USPS Economy (Surface) Parcel Post here in France???
I am not going to say who he is since i stil believe he didn't try to rip me, so, please help me to locate my toys!!!!
Thanx a lot and sorry to bother with such an O/T subject...

Knowing big companies and gov agencies like that they won't give us any info.

Your best bet is to call up USPS HeadQuarters and not hang up until you have an answer. Just keep going up the corporate chain until you get what you need.

1-800-ASK-USPS. Unfortunately, the 800 number (toll free in the US) is usually invalid for foreign calls, but give it a try. If you run into a bind, my uncle is the postmaster for a town here in New Hampshire, I could call him and see if he has any ideas.

BTW, the website is www.usps.com

If the seller shipped it with UPS, he should have a UPS Tracking Number. Get that number from him and you can put it into the UPS website. It will tell you exactly where the package has been since UPS got it. If they've turned it over to another company, that information will also be there.

I bought a few things from France on ebay, they took 6-8 weeks to get here. With USPS it's hard for the recipient to get any information, the shipper needs to institute a search with USPS. If it was insured, there is a number to track it with. If it's not insured and was in one of those trucks that turned over on the highway and burnt, you may be out of luck.

Yes, I got it. I called my uncle, but it turns out he's out of town on vacation until next week. Sorry!
