Pics from the test run Sunday

Here are some pics from the test run of the Rubicon. Overall, it did very well. I am very impressed with it as a stock vehicle. Looking forward to the 4" lift and bigger tires.

Re: Pics from the test run Sunday

Looks like you had a lot of fun. Some nice pics of the new Jeep in action. That looks like a fun place to wheel.
Just a question I have been wondering about, have you had your new rube long enough to report on the gas milage. Is it better worse than a reg TJ. I was wondering if the new axels cause the milage to go down. Not that it matters one way or the other I have just been wondering and nothing you read brings up the topic

Re: Pics from the test run Sunday

Is the spare tire mounted directly to the tailgate or has it got some sort of external carrier? If it's on the tailgate, is the tailgate reinforced at all?

Just some queries - because aprox - 31" tire, and 16" rim can put some strain on the tailgate.

Have only put in one tank so far. Got 15 MPG onthe first one, 60% Hwy 40% City
Mileage should be better than a TJ with Auto as it has the 4 speed auto.

Re: Pics from the test run Sunday

It is the standard mount as far as I am aware of. I plan on upgrading the bumper and carrier when I go to the larger tires. But that is something for Chrysler to consider.
