Couple of questions on front D44 shaft seals

Got a Waggy 44 front and am in the process of changing u joints, checking bearings, etc. I noticed that on the short side stub shaft there is a small seal that is not on the long side shaft. Is there suppose to be on on both sides?
If you look at my attachment I have drawn in the seal in question as noted by the question mark.

Also, can the seal seats (52) be replaced? If so, are they pressed on? I have one a little bent up, can it just be hammered a little back into shape?

There should be no difference in seals side to side.

My guess is that, if you can get it close to flat, you can just beat that disk back into shape.
