...I did a search last week on how to do a windshield swap in my Jeep. All the professionals in the area wanted the minimum of $85 dollars to do it with another used windshield I had. That price sounded ok...untill I did the swap myself. I had never done a windshield before, the weather was warm for the time of the year so I went ahead and did it...lets see $1.04 for string + in house dish detergent = savings of $83.96. It was something that was a little frightning to me because I could easisly break that glass. You do need to have a high soap to water spray though... mine was a little weak and I had cut the gasket in one spot. But thankyou for the past post.
