Re: Cool Jip!!!

It's just a standard Scrambler halftop. I bought it 7-9 years ago at a salvage yard but just got it on this past summer. Having a 'glass body I made my own bulkhead separator and had to modify the roll bar. The OEM bulkhead should work for any '81 up CJ or YJ steel bodies. The tops and bulkheads show up regularly on eBay and other places.

Re: Cool Jip!!!

I too, think it's pretty darn cool, and useful I'm sure.
TAZ, can you shed some light? Why wouldn't a bulkhead fit a '76-'80, CJ-7? I thought the tubs were the same exept for the door strikers.

[/ QUOTE ]And therein lies the difference. When they went to the post strikers, a stiffener was added on each side behind the door opening from the floor to the top edge of the tub. The halftop bulkhead screws into that stiffener. For the older models, a filler strip would have to be fabricated for each side. My 'glass tub had the same stiffener.

Re: Cool Jip!!!

Is that a grab handle on the cab behind the drivers side door? I wonder what the payload limit would with that tiny pickup bed?

Re: Cool Jip!!!

Nate,

Not as of yet. Have been working on it every now and again, but have been very busy with some of the websites I maintain for some companies. I really need to set some time apart and get into it.
