YJ + Cold = Spitter sputter

Just the other day out weather turned really cold and misrible. The YJ starts right up and a choke that works, works wonders! But once the choke closes off it begins to drop idle (round 500) and sputter. After about 10 more minutes it will die at stop signs/ lights. It has the 4.2 with a nutterized carter attached. Any ideas??

Re: YJ + Cold = Spitter sputter

Update, the battery gauge likes to drop in "the red zone" and that is when the jeep also likes to stall out. But would that cause the jeep to stall? I am going to set a charger on it.
