Ride Height Adjustment--Leveled the CJ!

My wife commented today on the Moonlight Rambler being down a little in back. I explained that it was quite common for jeeps to be slightly lower in back, but that it didn't effect the off-road ablility at all.....I measured the body out and found that we were all of 5/8" down at the back of the tub compared to the front.....however it got to bothering me. I decided I HAD to do something about it. I called my father up and bounced a strange idea off his head....what if I put some extended shackles only on the back to level it out?!? Would I screw anything up? He did some calling around while I did some research, and we got back together. We decided to give it a try. He happened to have some 3/16" T-1 barstock, so he built me up a set of rear shackles to the length I wanted and I mounted them up. We took it for a test spin, both gravel, pavement and off-road (including a flex-test--he hate's being in the jeep when I do that!) and found it to be good. I wrote up a bit about it here: Ride Height Adustment page Let me know what you think! Has anyone else done this????
