Possible to bench test MCU to see if it works ?

Does anyone know if it is possible to bench test the engine control computer MCU for the 258 BBD ? I ohmed out the input wiring from the sensors / switches back to the wire harness connector at the MCU plug-in. Seems to be AOK . Only thing left to check is the MCU . Is this possible to do ? Who can perform the check ? Anyone out there who eliminated the MCU from their rig and no longer needs it ? The local dealer did not know if it were possible to do . Seems that someone has to be able to check it .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the Nutter bypass eliminate the MCU?

I don't know if you can do the Nutter in your location, I don't know the effects this has on emissions.

There are folks who have opted for the Nutter to bypass the MCU . My goal is to keep stock and refurbish . The system must have worked when it was originally engineered and rolled out of the plant. I'll keep plugging away to bring it back to OEM . Almost there .
